New Dance by Zack Fuller and Emily Smith
In collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Michael Evans

Twisted from Constantly Watching Doves is a dance score composed by Zack Fuller in collaboration with Emily Smith. It consists of actions, images, and movements derived from European folklore and the childhood memories and daily lives of the performers, filtered through a grotesque glam/punk aesthetic. Emily Smith is a metal worker and Zack Fuller is a caregiver for seniors with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. Their practice(s) of daily life inform this dance. In each performance the material developed from the score is re-configured and altered by the space and by the music of percussionist Michael Evans.
