The Spacemen’s album release party with special guests. A night of experimental music and visual projection supported by the City Artist Corps Grants.

The Spacemen:
The Spacemen offers a valiant attempt at capturing the interstellar experience. The ambient, experimental project comes from Ayumi Ishito (Saxophone), Theo Woodward (Synthesizer, Vocals), Nebula and the Velvet Queen (Theremin), Jake Strauss (Guitar, Bass), and Steven Bartishev (Drums). The Spacemen is full of distortion, unexpected percussive rhythms, and competing melodies.
Their debut album “The Spacemen Vol. 1” has been released on 577 Records. This set will be live streamed on 577 Records Instagram account. IG: @577records

Damien Olsen: various synthesizers
Damien Olsen will perform a live soundtrack for his video work "What's in the Box"; an alucinatory journey documenting the surface of 180 paintings simulating geographical environments like aerial views, executed during the pandemic.

Wit & Daniel
Wit & Daniel (Prawit Siriwat and Daniel Durst) is an exploration of intimate sound creation and manipulation. Their live performance is cathartic, meditative, explosive, immediate, and never predictable. With an intuitive sense for each other, they navigate time as if it were a rubber-band stretched to its breaking point.

Danni Huang: visual
Danni Huang is a new media artist based in New York City. She moved from Shanghai to New York in 2016 and received her Master’s from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Interactive Telecommunications Program in 2018 where she focused on animation, mixed reality, and installation art. She is interested in creating experiences that tell compelling stories, as well as building engaging worlds that lie at the edge of art and tech.
