Heather Elle
Once described as being able to create a “handsomely twisted deconstruction of the hedonistic-psyche“ by So Young Magazine, Heather Elle (Flossing/Weeping Icon) will be combining tools and tactics from both their projects to further explore the relationships between rhythm, noise, and darker subconscious thought. Expect to hear a combination of relentless industrial beats, eccentric found sounds, and strange vocal experiments.
Ria Rajan is an Intermedia artist working across analog and digital mediums, focussing on the intimate relationships between people, places and the technosphere. Her work deals with ideas related to movement, space and time, with a focus on the intangible, ephemeral and transient experiences –- IRL and online – through performance, audio visual experiences, imagemaking, locative and lens based media, and video art.
Also known as MASTER FADER, her performances include live sound and performed video that are occasionally interactive/reactive. She works with field recordings, ambient noise and environmental sounds combined layered over each other to create ambient compositions. Video work includes single and multiple channel videos and projections as installations and ephemeral experiences. More recently, Rajan has started to Livecode using it as a method to create live audio and visuals.
Ria has been invited to participate in multiple public art projects such as Urban Avant Garde (Bangalore, IN), Investment Zone (Bangalore, IN), Figment (NY), Prakalp Pune (Pune) and most recently Cyberia (Pune, IN). Along with these, her collaborative works have been included in festivals and developed through residencies, both locally and internationally.
She is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art at Stony Brook University, NY.
